Update from Okinawa

| Our typhoon to be Haikui is going to be top sustained of at least 55mph with gusts to 80 mph within 8 hrs or so...we think. All pregnant moms of 37 weeks plus have been told to come to the hospital...but cannot bring family...no room. We are fortunate this is not stronger...as it could be much, much worse. I am staying in the hotel...which is built like a fortress...but one whole wall is windows to the South China sea. We hit commissary for food..just in case we get to have a Typhoon day off...or lose electricity. I am not going to walk up 17 floors though...no way. |
