Our bay is simply terrible when it comes to surge. I would not have been able to evacuate briefly during TS Debby! It just doesn't take much. It's that surge, and people keep seeming to focus on the wind here. Earlier one news station made a big deal about mentioning slivers of a county that were not covered by the cone any more. I mean seriously! On track, they would have been very close to the TS wind field. But again, its the surge at issue for me unless Isaac really got its act together despite the land he will be interacting with.
NHC nudged the track a little eastward later in the forecast.
This could be really bad for the Big Bend area. They are another location that doesn't even need a direct hit to be really affected. |
