Eventual turn to the east...??

I'm going to throw this question out to those of you that are more skilled at this than me.....

I know there is a trough to the north of Florida that will eventually turn Isaac to the east. The models all having it turning east once the system gets into Georgia. However....if Isaac slows down enough, is there a possibility that this trough will have enough time to come down and turn Isaac to the east as it is coming up along the west coast of Florida, i.e. a Hurricane Charley scenario?
