Re: Isaac west after landfall?

jfelber.. welcome to Hurricane City. The Euro builds an upper level ridge to the north of Isaac, over the eastern half of the country. The ridge would block Isaac from moving north and east, and would push Isaac slowly west. This ridge is built up due to the upper level trough which will be digging into the western US. Also, the upper trough that will be responsible for turning Isaac north in the eastern Gulf, will by next week, be lifting out and into the eastern Atlantic. If the Euro is correct, the remnants of Isaac would bring heavy rains to AL and MS. Hope this helps/ wasn't too confusing.
