I believe you said you are in Destin? I'm in Mary Esther, right on the border of Navarre on the South side (water side) of Highway 98.
Don't let your guard down..... even though we aren't slated for a direct hit, we are on the bad side of the storm and with it being projected to sit out there off the coast for a while, we are going to be subject to flooding from storm surge.
My first storm here was Ivan in 2004. I took it way too lightly and got my a** handed to me by mother nature. Just remember..... no matter what the projected path is.... sometimes mother nature has her own ideas and we are best to be prepared. |
