Betty, the by pass around the campground is open and fine. The higher part of the road to the east is ok, the low area right in front of the old campground got washed over and is covered with debris but looks ok othewise. We considered leaving but there never was much doubt about being able to get out so we stayed.
When I drove by your place this morning it looked fine.
The surge is still 2 ft above normal today, nothing threatening but higher than I would have thought at this point. We may be 500 miles from the eye, but this is a big storm. |
