Today (Oct 6) was the first day since August 15th that we didn't have a named storm in the Atlantic

August 16th through October 5th there was at least one named storm in the Atlantic each day. (Going by Zulu time and counting an advisory where a storm was declared post tropical)

Although the NHC still has a named storm in the East Pacific, so they are still writing advisories for something. Using both basins, the last time there was not a named storm in either of the two basins was August 1st. And the last day they did not have to write any advisory for either basin was July 31st.
