I think it is a good idea to give names to these storms especially if these are predicted to be more common.
If you hear Nor'Easter, at least here in Long island, one doesn't take it too seriously. Usually they are accompanied by snow / sleet / rains. Wind or major flooding not a major concern.
If these storms start curving back into the Island instead of out to sea as usual people will def. be caught off guard expecting a slap but receiving a nice punch. |
