GOES-13 suffered an anomaly overnight - the Star Tracker is not functioning, which means the satellite cannot find the Earth. The anomaly started at 0340 UTC 22 May, and at 0429 UTC, GOES West (GOES-15) began a full disk schedule.

GOES-14, in standby at 105 W, has been activated; the first images from GOES-14 will be available at 0500 UTC 23 May. In the meantime, GOES engineers are working on a solution to GOES-13s problems. An update from the Environmental Satellite Processing Center (ESPC) is scheduled for around Noon eastern time.
