something to think on.... very little foresight on the infrastructure needed to do the job and an over reliance on models and yet........we are learning so much so fast and know so much more than we used to .... lack of funding in important areas

a real battle there

nice for Franklin to tow the party line, am sure he is gunning for the top dog position one day

but the problems of funding at the NHC and other similar institutions are legendary and you aren't supposed to talk on it

if you want the Emperor's Clothes mentality he's the man there...

just my thoughts.......  more money, better modeling, sats that don't go bump in the night
better forecasting

this is not rocket science
