A few days ago the NHC's forecast was for this system to interact with a trough coming down from the north. It said it could turn subtropical. When that happens, the rules that apply to tropical systems no longer apply. The center expands and going over land or dry air intrusion doesn't weaken it. In my opinion (whether true or not) about subtropical systems (Hybrid) systems is that they are more unpredictable and in my opinion more dangerous. |
