I'm not sure how close they really need to be for that kind of interaction. Manuel does seem to be impacting Ingrid some now. At least I think it is him.

It is odd, perhaps the flow and a coincidence, but look at the map here:

They two have moved kind of in sync with each other. Maybe it is just a coincidence.

It would appear that Ingrid is the one that is supposed to go inland though:

However, as Cypress mentioned, it could possibly loop back into the Bay of Campeche. I have heard that, or talk of another low forming, but I have not had time to look at the models too much. It's kind of hard to follow what might be what in some of the models I was looking at.

Between the two though, there is a lot of rain forecast. The NHC has consistently made that the primary thing they try to get across, with isolated amounts of up to 25 inches possible, especially in the mountains with flash floods and mud slides possible.
