Check out the "72-hour" NHC marine forecast image, which has been changing a lot, with the second "X" being 24 hours from that point.

How to get that image...

NHC page:
http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/

Then in left column, under "Marine Forecasts", go to "Atlantic & E Pacific".

Then scroll down the next page until you get to the "Graphical Products" section.

Next to "Surface Forecasts", under the Atlantic column, select "24-hour", "48-hour" or "72-hour". The "resized" option is just a smaller file size.

Below that box you will see "View the Graphical Products Legend". There you can see what various stuff is. The second "X" represents the movement expected in 24 hours.

The "72-hour" forecast keep changing. At one point early this morning it was forecast to race up to the central Louisiana coast at 96 hours, the "X" it goes to in the "72-hour" image. Now, back to staying in the SW/WSW Gulf through 96 hours. It keeps changing a lot.
