Oddly enough, Hurricane Katrina in 1967:

For historical statistics like that, if you have Google Earth, I have files that contain that data here:

And this is the file you would want from that page (Eastern North Pacific Basin > Best Tracks > Storm or higher):
http://www.tropicaleastpacific.com/models/archive/ep/ep_ts_or_higher_besttrack.kmz
It draws a lot of lines, so save your work or it may crash Google Earth or even your computer. Then I just found the line that went furthest north into the Gulf of California.
