Re: Insurance costs are going to make people stop living near the coast

The market here will not turn around with the insurance crisis looming overhead.  A friend was telling me yesterday that the house next door to her could not close because they were unable to obtain insurance at an affordable price -- it is not waterfront.  It is one mile inland, but in an area that floods.  This will affect housing markets all over the country.  Wherever someone is in a floodplain.  What a mess this is.
