Re: Wishing for options

I have a friend that sold his house and lives a lot in a motor home. That seems like it would be a lot of fun. He does some traveling in it sometimes.

I wonder how it would work if you did actually have a lot somewhere in a flood zone with an RV. I guess since you could move it you would not need to pay for flood insurance? Or maybe you still pay some on the RV so that it is covered for flooding there or elsewhere? No idea how that works.

Waterfront living is definitely not worth it any more. I just hope we all find someone who disagrees. My dad, who is retired, keeps talking to me about where we should move to. A lot of people are thinking the same thing, especially now. We don't need a lot of space or a yard and don't need to live along the water, so it just doesn't make a lot of sense.

I have a lot of family in Tennessee. Some have the right idea, they live there and maybe a few times a year some will drive down to the beach in Destin and spend a few days. A lot cheaper! They go to the beach more than I do. I almost always only go to the beach when family comes to visit. Since we almost always go to TN, that means we might go several years between going to the beach.
