Very Strange

Even the NWS forecaster out of Willmington, NC calls it "VERY STRANGE" in today's discussion... excerpt:
AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WILMINGTON NC
1124 AM EDT SUN OCT 6 2013

"GUIDANCE IS HINTING THAT A COASTAL LOW WILL DEVELOP ALONG THE
STALLED COLD FRONT NEXT WEEKEND...AND THEN RETROGRADE BACK TOWARDS THE COAST FOR SATURDAY.
THIS OCCURS IN A VERY STRANGE 5H PATTERN WITH THE LOW BECOMING TRAPPED BENEATH A MASSIVE RIDGE...FORCING THE LOW TO DRIFT IN AN AREA OF VERY WEAK STEERING FLOW. WILL NOT ADD ANY MENTION OF POP TO THE FORECAST ATTM...BUT IT IS A SYSTEM THAT DEFINITELY BEARS WATCHING DURING THE UPCOMING WEEK."
