Some of their shows are pretty good, I just wish I had the option to view live weather all the time or recorded shows, perhaps something on demand. TWC does have Weatherscan, but it is not the same.

I have watched the show on hurricane hunters of course, but also one they used to have or may still have about photography. (Weather, computers and photography are what I am most into.) They have lots of other shows I've caught occasionally about different types of weather. Some educational about types of weather, some just about significant weather events. (If not finding the current weather doesn't annoy me, sometimes I might stick around and watch a few minutes of something else they have on.)

I use the NWS too. I have my house bookmarked so I get the computer point forecast. I live between 1 and 2 miles from Tampa International's weather station, so it makes sense to check that for data. (Rather than a simple rain gauge I have at home.) I use Weather Underground's radar a lot too. And then I read Jeff Masters blog a lot too. I follow a lot of the local meteorologists here on Facebook from various stations, so I get really good weather information mixed with humorous weather stuff.

I had never heard of the Prospectors show. I collected some rocks when I was younger. I have a mini rock collection of some rocks from various places in the US. (like hypothetically some from here) I even have a rock with fool's gold in it on my shelf. When I was younger one of my family members liked smooth, rounded, river rocks so I would find the best I could of those when traveling and gave them to her. I forget most of what I learned about rocks from my geology class in college. Florida's rocks, not so interesting around my house so I never really got into that. The land my house is on was just piled up in the bay to create it. So nothing within walking distance worth finding that I would disappear to go get. (I've probably never seen a native rock around here.) I have collected a lot of shells from local beaches I have found over the years and then also foreign coins my dad would get when he was an airline pilot traveling. (Not sure where it is, but I have liked a show somewhere about cold weather and planes that I have seen occasionally. Not sure if that was on TWC or somewhere else.)
