in the 72-hr Atlantic graphic issued today, it looks like the L will stay in the Epac & a new L forms on Atlantic side in the Bay of Campeche , on hte trough that's forecast to develope

totally unrelated, but a weather anomaly - here in Houston, if IAH does not reach 90 today, it will be the 1st time since 1970 that it did not reach 90 in May

a cooler May in our part of the Gulf is keeping the waters cooler than average
