Will be interesting to see what the Outer Banks do now as of the current plane reports.
If the pressure drops....more strength...and that Hwy 12 could go away leaving all stranded. Only heard one voluntary Ocracoke Island evac 'suggested'. It is in Hyde County I believe.

Agree with an earlier post...rip current may take more lives, hope no incidents....but tourists just do not see the danger. And think of all the East Coast territory that covers. Tough week to be a lifeguard at an ocean location.
Also, been a while since a bad one hit....complacency is always a danger. |
