Does anyone have any stats on how many times the first named storm of the season became a hurricane and how busy--or not--those seasons ultimately turned out to be? I'd be quite fascinated to know a little more about any correlation between the two (my suspicion is that there is no correlation, but I'm always up for a surprise).
