Social media has become great for that. I always try to work something out privately with a company first if there is ever a problem. In the past I had a problem with something we had installed by a company and eventually I had to complain to the BBB. (This was quite a few years ago) Then it got resolved to our satisfaction. Now with social media, it can make some things even easier. (Real time response from others if they have the same issue, rather than a whole bunch of separate emails about something you have to answer, just post an update to Facebook.)
