Jim, gave the early morning visible images a close look, you may have a point reference the possible center.... further inspection of the obs in Puerto Rico and buoys nearby. There appears to be an elongated broad low circulation from N to S. In addition, latest vortex position from 850-500mb showed the core about 100miles south of PR. Interesting developments, as convection tends to focus where the strongest core of ascent is located. May very well take over current   NHC' s following.

Note: PR Radar does show a small convective area with some rotation just north of the Island. But winds across the island don't reflect much across those obs.
