I note in hovering over the orange area on the 5-day that they are now speciftying the wave is forecast to move offshore on Friday.  So let's see....five days from yesterday would be Sunday, 8/31.  If I'm reading things right, then, this still-continent-bound wave that won't even be over water until Friday has a 40% chance of becoming an Atlantic TC by Sunday -- and lots ot sea to traverse after that.  Wow.  Sure doesn't look like anything else we've seen yet in this CV season.
