NHC gives it a 10% chance in 48 hours (which was just increased from 0%) and 30% chance within 5 days as of 8pm EDT on Wednesday. It doesn't move off Africa until tomorrow: http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/gtwo.php?basin=atlc&fdays=5
I wanted to mention it because NASA is planning to investigate this area with the Global Hawk unmanned aerial vehicle on Friday with a 25 hour flight from Virginia. That should provide some interesting research in an area we obviously don't normally see recon. (The Global Hawk has done a mission like this in the past few years.)
Global Hawk daily schedule: https://espo.nasa.gov/missions/hs3/daily-schedule P27L, this area's current designation: http://www.met.nps.edu/~mtmontgo/storms2014.html
