Hard to believe that our first hurricane strike was way back on July 3rd and since then extremely quiet across the Western Atlantic and no other U.S strikes.

Looking ahead, mid latitude troughs are beginning to push further south, with first fall cold front moving through Florida next weekend. Cooler and dryer air. This will likely trigger a tropical system in the western Caribbean per GFS in about two weeks from now. Wouldn't be surprised, as climatology favors the pacific monsoon trough to push across into the western Caribbean in October through November.

If we get a U.S tropical system landfall, this will be where it will form???
