| First of all the IVCN (intensity consensus model) & LGEM (SHIPS Logistic Growth Equation Model) models nearly had this up to cat 3 at one point but the problem is that had it doing this much further NW of it's current position. The NHC Stacey Stewart bit on those models calling for 100mph but that was assuming it would be much further along than it is. Danny slowed down got caught in the doldrums and found itself in a favorable environment had it moved at the forecast speed I doubt this would have even gotten to 100mph IMO. |
