For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical
Storm Erika, located between Haiti and Cuba.

1. Showers and thunderstorms have increased in association with
a broad area of low pressure located just west of the coast of west
Africa.   Environmental conditions are expected to be conducive for
development, and a tropical depression could form during the next
few days while the system moves west-northwestward or northwestward
toward the Cape Verde Islands at about 10 mph.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...30 percent
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...60 percent
