Thanks for the overview Jim. considering the scarcity of space in the Keys-- I am glad that this
monument is maintained-- to let today's and future residents and passer-by of what happened -- and
CAN happen here!
Love the Keys-- and there is a price one pays to be here-- sometimes a high price!!!
It is amazing that the work this generation did-- AKA the Railroad and later the Overseas
Highway-- remains.
Those pillars holding up the old 7 mile bridge-- were build during this era-- and still stand today!! |
