Microsoft is being a bit pushy with pushing Edge in Windows 10. I have lots of browsers installed for testing web pages and I use Chrome and Firefox for every day use. I don't use Edge or Internet Explorer except for testing.

Make Chrome your default browser:

I use AdBlock Plus (for ad blocking, but prevents ads from opening that could really do harm without proper PC protection, so it really is great even though some sites are starting to get around it), McAfee WebAdvisor (lets you know about malicious links) and Comodo Internet Security Premium. (antivirus, firewall, antispyware) All free and work well. There are some stronger ad blockers, that go more indepth, but they get really complex.

Windows 10 is still really new. Especially Edge. Apparently they are going to have addons in Edge, but I think they must be testing it internally right now. I see a lack of addons, with AdBlock Plus named specifically, as being the number one complaint about Edge right now. Although I am only the 16th person to upvote that in Windows Feedback in the past month so there must not be too many people either using Edge or caring about the lack of addons. The latest beta version of Windows broke Google Chrome and that warranted over a thousand upvotes from people over the past two weeks. (Google has fixed that issue in an upcoming Chrome release which will be out I'm sure before that update in Windows is sent out to the world.)
