I was just looking at the HWRF. At least it's sane again for a run. (though the HWRF and GFDL often try to make things that are not yet even developed into major hurricanes, so it might go back to it next run) It was just odd this time that the GFDL was not going along at all.

And for HWRF weirdness, it looks to develop ex-Fiona into a hurricane. The 1006mb is 99L in the 12Z run above.

It is incredible how different the models can be sometimes. The difference between the GFS and Euro global models is so stark at times with 99L.
