good to hear that everyone who replied knows all the basics & are getting details taken care of
we had a sort-of-drill here for emergency preparedness - electric substation fire, over 75k customers without power. easy to forget what it's like to get by without it, even for a short time - worst thing was not knowing when it might come back on & having no warning it was going off. best things - I didn't have to cook dinner & we could see way more stars in the sky without all the light pollution ! trivial in retrospect, but a good reminder that there are things we need to get in order to make an extended emergency easier to deal with - even something as simple as knowing exactly where stuff is before the lights go out...
