I know we need some new flashlights and we're going to pick up some today.  I bought three Maglights with the first hurricane my wife and I faced in 1999, Irene (we lived in Boynton Beach at that time), and in the past year my 6 year old has broken two of them...

We have plenty of water on hand and my wife coupons, so we have a cache of canned and ready to eat meals on hand.  

I'm about 35 miles inland on the southwest coast, so for something to hit us it would have to cross a good portion of South Florida - which is not necessarily the recipe for weakening a storm (Irene is an example here too).  

Still in the watch and wait mode here - not too concerned.  At the same time wouldn't be surprised if we face strong TS / Cat 1 winds
