High winds expected in my area

| The midlands will get the worst of the wind from what the NWS says and has issued a high wind advisory for us inlanders. Uggg....being saturated from last October, and still recovering from flooding, (not to mention summer showers that dump anywhere from 1-2" of rain) the NWS has also issued a flash flood watch for our area as well as we will see anywhere from 6-8" of rain some places more locally. Welcome to September, the beginning of the peak of hurricane season. I just hope this event does not end up like last October. however I do see a lot of power outages due to the trees falling over from high winds. The ground being so saturated and all, the roots have nothing to hold onto. |
