| The wind fields of sustained TS winds at the closest approach to a particular city may be on the other side of the center. A system 50 miles off the coast will not be a hit on an area with a lopsided circulation Colin was too far away & Bonnie was a TD. I would say 2 hits for SC Hermine & Julia both gave the area TS force winds as rainfall for example can happen far away from center even outside the cone . |
