Hi, Beachlover. Thanks for asking about us. We just finished repairing damage to our property from Hurricane Hermine (mostly loss of some sand and sea oats). It is hard to even contemplate what the folks along the east coast are facing with Matthew. I hope they receive a lot of help with recovery. According to the latest Tallahassee NWS forecast we may even get some rough marine conditions as far away as we are here in Apalachee Bay ... Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Tallahassee FL 116 AM EDT Thu Oct 6 2016 ".MARINE... Winds will continue to gradually increase as the pressure gradient tightens between Hurricane Matthew and a ridge of high pressure over the Mid Atlantic States. Advisory conditions will begin this evening and continue through at least Friday night. Winds may approach tropical storm force at times on Friday across the coastal waters in Apalachee Bay depending on the exact track of Hurricane Matthew." |
