| I would think the dry part is not actually dry. It's still far away and just not appearing on radar yet. The current eyewall itself is higher and being picked up, but the low stuff is being blocked from between the current eyewall and whatever that larger feature is, perhaps a large new eyewall, because it is strong and the radar beam is not getting through it. |
