Well the latest models that just came out within the last couple hours have ever so slightly shifted east, including the GFS. And that slight shift is a big deal...that's the difference between getting the eastern eye wall on shore and just part of the western eye wall....which is a difference in about 50mph winds. If it just straddles the coast, it won't be as bad. It's only if the entire eye wall gets on shore when this thing will cause catastrophic damage.
Too early to say for sure, but I do think early indications are this thing may ever so slightly stay offshore. |
