With 85mph winds and its direction of movement, it may actually pass into Costa Rica after landfall in Nicaragua, likely as a tropical storm at that point though. (That is what the NHC forecast has.) Regardless of the exact position, both countries will experience it. It will be close to the border. Of course being on the forward right side of the storm, in this case to the north, the wind would be a little higher.

We may also witness some more history if the storm survives across into the East Pacific. That doesn't happen often. It's a small storm though so it may not survive intact. If they can't follow it all the way across and it then redeveloped, then it would get a new name.
