Re: thank you Chris

I knew a lot of science and climate things were likely to be in trouble, but maybe weather related things are too. We might get back to talk of having a private company provide the services, or at least some of the services, that the NWS does. I have not heard anything about that yet. There's so much about to change that maybe some things like that will get overlooked in the chaos.

There will be concerning things ahead, as there is already:

Hopefully the NWS will not see too much change to critical weather monitoring and forecasting, even if there are changes in how climate related issues are handled.

I have not looked at the recent passage of this in the Senate:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/capital-weather-gang/wp/2016/12/02/senate-passes-major-bill-to-improve-weather-forecasting/
It seemed bipartisan though. Has to still pass the House.

If you prefer to embed something manually for any of these sites, you can also do that. For Ustream, you can only embed live videos manually rather than using the above feature. No other sites are currently supported.

If you embed something manually please be aware that due to the security restrictions on some browsers manually entering embedded code may not allow it to appear correctly when you view it. However, after you post the message it will work properly. This will not be a problem if you use the above feature to add embedded content.
