Hot and dry in Florida

Posted by Chris in Tampa on 4/29/2017, 7:05 pm

Today in Tampa we hit 96 degrees at the airport. It also blew away the record for the month, 93, that was matched yesterday.

RECORD EVENT REPORT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TAMPA BAY FL
524 PM EDT SAT APR 29 2017

...RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURE SET AT TAMPA...

A RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 96 DEGREES WAS SET AT TAMPA TODAY.
THIS BREAKS THE OLD RECORD OF 91 SET IN 1991.
THIS ALSO BREAKS THE HIGHEST TEMPERATURE RECORDED FOR THE MONTH.
THE OLD RECORD WAS 93 DEGREES SET YESTERDAY AND ALSO IN 1975
AND 1958.

Meanwhile, our severe drought continues. We're the unlucky part...
