Fun topic...would the coming eclipse affect a forming tropical system...like a hurricane?

Ok...to the brains on this board....

I know that when you get an eclipse like we will have soon, the temps can suddely drop 20 something degrees. Yes, I know that period does not last long, but curious...in a forming - say hurricane - could it take some steam out of it?

As we know, hurricanes need a lot of heat.....

Would be fascinating to observe the effect...if any...on a full blown hurricane.

Has that ever happened?
