My neighbor had some extra glasses and I got them after the maximum part of the eclipse. I was then able to take some photos through the glasses and get close up pictures.
All the devices we constructed worked. The binoculars worked really great too. I invited some neighbors over and we were using all of them.
I had heard on NASA's stream about trying to use a strainer and that worked really well. I wasn't sure what trees might allow the eclipse to be seen on the ground, but lots of trees ended up with the effect on the ground.
I wish I knew how well the eclipse could be seen through small holes like in the strainer. I could have punched holes to spell out Tampa and other things. |
