Interesting Trend with Eye Temps

Not sure if this is the norm with storm entering an EWRC, but over the course of that RECON flight, every vortex returned an eye temp difference greater than the one before it.
I believe it started with 3C and ended with 6C. Coupled with the consistent pressure falls, it is obviously still intensifying despite the supposed limiting nature of an EWRC. The outer eyewall, based on NOAA radar, is healthy and appears thick and closed. This is a similar situation to that of Harvey, where we get to watch and observe how quickly Irma can dissolve the inner wall. |
