All this talk about Irma, I wanted to break the ice and just share this tidbit I wrote in 2002 when I first went out to sea on the aircraft carrier John F. Kennedy:
The Sea
Mighty waves of the sea,
forever cleansing thee.
Air flowing through the foam,
down the beach as it roams.
Clouds climbing high above,
just as white as a dove.
O' Mighty sea
as blue as can be,
travel back and forth,
heights of all sorts. |
