Just a reminder to you guys... this type of system is all about the angle. This will be a Charlie-esque scenario where even a simple wobble can make a few hundred miles difference in coastline. Don't get too caught up in the landfall estimates right now... have to wait until Friday for that.
That said, there is no way this storm doesn't spread out its energy. It can't hold at its current form for 5+ days, so I'd expect it to double or triple in size (what would've happened to Andrew had it had time to). It wont be the buzzsaw it is now at landfall, but the caneforce winds will spread out. It might be a moot point whether it crosses Marathon vs. Islamorada. :/ |
