Whaddya mean, splitting hairs?? I don't get the reference. Both these big boy models are still showing the sharp turn to the north -- Euro coming in generally south of Naples and heading north through the peninsula, and GFS coming in generally south of Miami and heading north just offshore -- I don't get why these differences -- though granted they'll have to resolve into a firmer track at some point (especially for the benefit of those in Irma's path!) -- are enough to make one throw them both out completely and decide the storm's just as likely to go someplace else entirely??
Or am I misunderstanding you??
Remember that these models now include all the available hurricane hunter and midwest atmospheric sampling data....why are we so totally distrustful?? |
