TWC Cantori

During the 8:30 a.m. segment on TWC this morning, Cantori put up a graphic where the center of the cone was in the center of FL. THEN he said that the East side of the cone had been shifting East and "IF I were in Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina, I would be getting my things in order"

Hype maybe, but I do not believe Jim is given to Hype. I think he is using all the tools available to him and along with his years of experience to warn that Irma has an increasing chance of being an East Coast Storm.

The GFS and ECMWF have put Irma at or near Charleston, SC several times. This would indicate to me that the models may be factoring in a intensity change in the High. IF that is the case, then the more Eastward track guidance seems logical.

Additionally, he commented that Josie may be having an influence on the Bermuda / Azores High. I think he means the opposite. I think what he meant to say was that Josie has been tracking slightly more North of the Irma track.

IF we are all really, really luck, the High rapidly folds and allows Irma to fish, but that is just wishful thinking on my part.
