Thanks everybody. Half the boards are up. We'll do most of the rest tomorrow. Maybe get all of them done. It would have been too late to board up once it became clearer. We're glad we started doing it early. There were issues with a drill and trying to figure out which boards go where, as the instructions we created last time, for Charley, we're a bit confusing. A lot of people around here are planning to evacuate if needed which is good. As I've told some of my neighbors, you need to be ready to leave if called to, so all you can do is be ready just in case. I decided to board up because we have the boards. If it turns late and I hadn't boarded up I would have regretted not trying.
I'll probably be posting more tomorrow night again. There's some issues with my recon system I need to try to fix. The other night radar data from the NOAA P-3 didn't get added to the site after 8pm EDT and I have to figure out why. Few hours of radar data isn't there. Haven't had a chance to fix it. |
