We're good. I hope everyone else if preparing, including along the west coast of Florida around Tampa, where there are some mandatory evacuations in areas of this region. I would count on more in other counties around here by the morning.

Pinellas County:

Article from earlier today:

"Hillsborough and Pinellas counties both ordered evacuations on Thursday as Hurricane Irma approaches Florida.

Hillsborough ordered a mandatory evacuations for special needs residents in Zone A starting at 8 a.m on Friday. Additional evacuation orders may come later today or early tomorrow, said emergency operations director Preston Cook.

Earlier in the day, Pinellas officials ordered everyone who lives in low-lying areas or mobile homes to evacuate. Access to beach communities will be restricted starting at 10 a.m. Friday. At 8 a.m. Sunday, that access will be cut off. Deputies will not allow anyone to re-enter those areas.

Those measures were all a part of the Pinellas County Commission's unanimous decision Thursday to issue an evacuation order for Level A residents - which includes mobile homes and low-lying areas - starting at 6 a.m. Friday. That order affects about 160,000 residents."

We're nearly done boarding up our house. We left a window uncovered in each bedroom for another day so in case of an emergency we could get out. We'll board them up before we would leave. Went to Home Depot and a grocery store, somewhat out of curiosity, but obviously plywood is gone. People are buying whatever they can to cover windows, from metal stuff to flimsy material. No bread at the grocery store we went to. We did stop and get a tiny bit more gas because there was hardly anyone there, just pulled right in. This particular station had only regular gas, but there were other stations that all seemed to have at least some kind of gas.
